Operation Shimoga - Part I

Hey guys... sorry for not able to meet you for a while... was busy with a application release (chad? hope you are reading the above statement?!!! ha ha.. just kidding!!). so Here it is..

Place : Bangalore City.
Time : 10:30 PM IST

A Group of 9 Young men, all aged between 25 and 30, scrambled in groups, looking eager to meet each other and rendezvous with their target, which they will not be able to do, may be ever after, if they miss it at 11 PM. Their stuffs in their odd looking bags, their minds on the road ahead and the things which they are going to do in the coming 2 days, time is running out…there seems to be urgency in everything they do. And 2 among the group, far away from the target, surrounded in a well built location with thousands of high-tech systems, looking curiously in their monitors and seriously doing which they need to do and making calls in between to get updates from their group.........

Hey guys.. Don’t think this is any covert operation or espionage mission!! Just wanted to write like a fiction writer (pathetic effort is't it? what to do? I wanted to try atleast). So here is the story... Contrary to the last weekend ( I bragged all about it in post no 2) , this weekend I was with lot of friends, Loads of fun and lots and lots of travel by foot(uff.. very exhausting!!!) and many wonderful sceneries to see. Yes guys, the operation, was a tour to Jog Falls and a couple of other places near shimoga. The group was a set of guys from Accenture and the target was Shimoga Express at 11:00 PM IST. and the special 2 guys were my friend Amjath and myself trying to finish the remaining things for the Application release.

ok guys, lot to tell and moments to share.(good funny things ofcourse!!!)

but before that, a thought about Journey?!!! It makes life interesting is't it? I have always being obsessed by two things, Music and Travel (yup...there is also a 3rd one... you guessed it right!!! "GALS". But as it deserves a good amount of posts and paras, I will talk about it later).

Journey!! I always wonder how we develop that wonderful thing even before someone tells about it. you should have seen a even little baby only able to speak one or two words will make the parent to get him around the house. If you want to get a kid to come with you, tell him that you will give ride in your bike? he will come running to you . That's the magic of journey, the passion we develop even we were little kids. The curiosity to see new things in life whether it is adventurous or relaxing. It is a great energizer…

see you in the next post with the moments...

Enemy at the gates !!!

Nope.. I am not going to talk about the film (good one ofcourse!!) nor give a review comments (its pretty old for that!!).. what I am going to tell you is the real incedent happened yesterday...

Before coming to the incident, a introduction about the place of incident... the (in)famous "Bannergatta road"...
anyone who have visited or still in bangalore would have known this famous road, the place where every major IT and other MNC companies have constructed their largest buildings... a place where plush apartments like "mantri" apartments etc have 2 sites.. where there is National park.. Meenakshi temple etc.. but yet no roads for 75% of the stretch... 2 flyover in construction for a long long time...and as one of the news paper naptly titled it "If you want to experience HELL, try driving in Bannergatta road".

So..All was same yesterday... the evening hectic traffic, people punching horn constantly, trying every nook and corner to slid their vehicles and gaining few inches... and it happened.. a small bump of a Accenture cab while coming out from the company with another cab... that was it.. heated argument began.. turned into violent quarell.

It so happened (fortunately or unfortunately) the other person in that car, seemed to be a big shot or in Indian terms we fondly call them "DADA"... the scene became violent like you can see in the climax of Indian Movies, around 250 strong, half and full boozed crowd, gathered at the front of the office gates and violently screaming and shouting... reportedly smashed 3 cabs and so the security personnel closed all the gates and stopped any vehicle from entering or leaving.

All of accenture staff were virtually held hostage inside the campus... until the police came and got the situation under control after 11 PM... still today police van with around 20 personnel are outside the campus, citing security reasons.

Hey People.. I wonder... why this MADNESS? I don't know how to tell, but if I told you that this violet and mad situation would have been averted by a single word or a small gesture... you would be surprised right? yes that's true.. we often forget the two most powerful words in the universe!! magical? yes.. they are "thank you" and "Sorry". I tell you.. don't even miss a single opportunity to tell these words, ever.

With my experience, I have just bumped my vehicle (not a very big accedent and all..but hey!!! everyone in Indian roads must have done that one or two times atleast... ) a couple of times... and in my view a accident is not supposedly one persons fault.. technically speaking.. you have your judgment and the other has his judgment.. and your collective judgment goes wrong...or what I am trying to say is at 90% of the time accidents happen because of both the persons... so in that time telling first sorry will calm down..and will make atleast a reasonable environment to at least access the situation and to make constuctive arguments... or even your ego does not allow you to say sorry.. You can just gesture like a "stop"?? have you seen the way athletes in football match gesture when the opponent fall down because of them, at that instant?? (they may gesture differently after they have given red card!!!.. I am not going to comment on that...) that is universal.. you can try it.. certainly it will avert any harsh verbal comments. and another advice.. have the policy of "others first" instead of "me first" in the roads.. like if some guy constantly sounding horn and try dangerously to overtake or racing you in the crossroads.. please slow down and make way so that B@#@#@#@ may go.. engaging him is not worth risking your life...

ok guys.. hope I have not BORED you so much...(much relative to my previous post..) just a "thought" I thought worth sharing... "please keep the road peaceful".

and guys if you were wondering, why I have given this post the title.. that means you haven't read the 4th para properly...

An Interesting topic!! about Boredom!! Ironic? read ahead..

Hey people, tell me, I am sure that you whould have got bored from time to time, but have you wondered how boring can one ever get? what a boring thought??!! ha ha.. think about it..

I got the chance to do that is weekend. Yup.. i was all alone in my apartment in KR puram as my roommates and known friends in bangalore were gone to their hometown and as I dint have any plan to go home(a very bad decision ofcouse!!) i was left home alone...

by the way.. have you seen "Home Alone".. I have seen all 3 and enjoyed.. he always had some interesting thing happening when he is "Home alone" lucky guy...

so coming to my story.. tried all kinds of stuff went out to "Innovative Multiplex" which has 4 theaters in it... but nope.. no good films other than those which I have already seen. I cursed them.. even mediocre films got booked.. what's happening in this world.. and why these film producers hue and cry about their films not going well etc... I don't believe it.

so no way except to return home.. setting up my MP3 player.. and starting my bike.. coincidence or locally in tamil we call it "nakkal", it sang the song "I Drove all Night - Celine Deon".. DAM I am just going to be just like that.. driving all night if needed..but atleast she has somewhere to go.. to her lover, but me? as nothing to do.. what should I do?

so i started my bike in frustration and started towards my home driving my bike slowly.. I was the slowest in the outer ring road highway.. just after a km away i saw one marriage hall.. a couple is getting married tonight.. ah.. atleast he wont be bored home alone.. should i try sneek in? just for fun? on second thoughts I dont have that much guts to do that.. reminded me I don't have a girlfriend also.. DAM DAM..

Driving slowly I saw the cable bridge.. which implies that I am near home... i started to slow down.. 50..40..30..20.. man I can't go any slower.. My fate was inevitable today.. which was "BORING".

But when I reached home.. i realized GOD is there somewhere and looking after us.. one of my friends called me to his home.. Hurray.. i am not going to be alone anymore.. finally...

So this saturday I realized how boring I can get... But people.. do you have any ideas how to overcome boredom? ANY "BORING" IDEAS? ah?

PS: after that i saw 2 films on sunday..and also had lot of roaming... so I think it was compensated.. nature is alwalys like that..
